2D to 3D
The production of chocolate figures such as Saint Nicholas and Easter bunnies is a tradition in which old and new come together. The used moulds are sometimes in use for generations. The wrapper is more modern: it is designed and printed on flat, two-dimensional aluminium foil. This foil is wrapped by hand around the chocolate figure. During this process the flat design becomes a three-dimensional image, with the stretched 2D illustration carefully designed so that it appears correctly proportioned on the 3D shape of the chocolate figure.
Designs Corry
Corry designed while drawing. With a few strokes of the pen, a strong design was made, with a very unique signature. In addition, she had a thorough knowledge of the production process. She knew exactly when a color had to be opaque or transparent so that the aluminum could shine through. A play of form and color.
