1952 Labels Sio Blocks
From 1950 onwards, Rokus van Blokland designed for Sio. Corry chose Sio as her graduation project for the Academy in The Hague.

Rokus van Blokland and Corry van Blokland Mobach designed a label based on the size of the largest box of these boxes. In the early 1950s, materials were still scarce and printed matter was expensive. Rokus and Corry came up with a way to save costs. The labels were printed in three colours; yellow, cyan and magenta.
Black was printed last and adjusted to the needed size. Finally the labels were cut to size.

Rokus and Corry van Blokland were toy designers who made a name for themselves with their modern and colourful designs. Their first designs date back to the 1950s and continued until in the 80s. Although the amount of designs increased over time, the collection of the toy factory always included other toys that were not designed by Rokus and Corry.

Their designs were produced in large numbers and included everything from the toy itself to the box, the prints on the box, the booklets, and advertisements. This level of attention to detail ensured that the entire product was cohesive and visually appealing. Their designs were not only popular in the Netherlands but also gained international recognition.

Rokus and Corry's designs were a breath of fresh air in the toy industry, which was dominated by traditional designs. Their use of bright colours and geometric shapes made their toys stand out on the shelves. Their designs also reflect the changing times, with a focus on innovation and modernism.

The designs of Rokus and Corry provided work for many employees of Sio for decades.
